Anastasia Mazur is a multidisciplinary designer and artist whose practice brings together design, art and craft. Her work explores how emotion, material and human labour can transform into objects with their own identity and narrative. Her projects focus on creating objects with lasting value – objects that resist rapid consumption and accumulate new layers of meaning over time. She considers emotion one of the fundamental building blocks of design: something intangible that is transformed into a physical object through material, form and detail.

She works closely with craftspeople and draws inspiration from traditional making processes, local cultures and historical techniques. Rather than treating craft as a nostalgic reference to the past, she approaches it as a living tool for contemporary expression. Through material, structure and handwork, she creates objects that connect contemporary design with craft knowledge while leaving space for the viewer’s own interpretation.

Her work has been exhibited in Prague, Milan, New York, Hong Kong, Taipei and Luxembourg. In 2023, she was nominated for the Czech Grand Design Award in the Discovery of the Year category and received the Outstanding Student Design Award at the Czech International Student Design Award.
